Resilio has lead a range of papers at AUT in the fields of design, sustainability and social innovation. From 2017 Resilio Studio lead the 2nd year Design Thinking Practices studio paper which is an introduction to Design Thinking and a prerequisite for all other design papers through the faculty of Design and Creative Technologies. We work with industry partners to teach students how to apply design processes to real world challenges and opportunities. We have worked with Selwyn Foundation designing interventions and initiatives that address some of the key issues associated with aging. We have also worked with Oxfam New Zealand designing opportunities to more effectively engage with and connect young New Zealanders to Oxfam’s values, objectives and operations. Working with Auckland Emergency Management (AEM) students explored how we can increase the resilience of Aucklanders focusing on four theme areas. The Ministry of Youth Development (MYD) tasked our students with developing design concepts to address a range of known youth challenges ranging from employment to health and wellbeing.
